Update: Splash Pad Hours have been extended. Starting June 5, 2024, the new hours will be 11a-7p (Eastern Time).
We are unable to accommodate hours extending beyond this due to the cost of the water and wastewater usage. The Town is not exempt from water and wastewater charges. In the approximate 8 days of usage from initial opening day, the usage was over 226,000 gallons of water. This is a cost to the town in excess of $3400.00 for just those short number of days. We have a budget that legally needs to be kept within for the usage for the season. Based on the 2023 usage, it was a cost at an average of $20,000/monthly.
The Town appreciates that the kids love to use the Splash Pad and want to be able to continue to offer this fun option during the summer months. We appreciate the residents understanding and we ask for your patience as the Town explores various cost-saving strategies in an effort to provide the maximum spray pad experience for our children.
